Mitsuyasuseikaen Tea Shop:

With a 300-year history dating back to 1716, Mitsuyasuseikaen is representative of Hakata’s long-established tea shops. Enjoy a set of green tea and traditional Japanese sweets while also learning how to brew tea the Japanese way at the Japanese tea café Chayuseika, which is adjacent to the shop’s Kannai Headquarters.
Kadota Lantern Shop:
Experience lantern painting
The shop designs lanterns that are considered elements of Hakata culture, including numerous lanterns used in the Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival, as well as lanterns used in the Hakata Dontaku Parade. To enable people to feel more familiar with these lanterns, the shop offers a lantern painting experience that you can decorate characters or drawings of your choice. The lanterns can be displayed standing up and can be carried home easily in a special box provided by the store.

Experience etsuke, the traditional
Hakata craft of ceramic painting
The Hakatamachiya is a facility that primarily focuses on displaying the Hakata area's way of life from past to present. Here you can enjoy the experience of painting on ceramics, which is a traditional Hakata craft.
